The inspiring colors of a late evening sunset abound on this soft gentle cat. Sunset 's sweet affectionate nature radiates from her soft green eyes.  Sunset is as fond of other cats, as she is fond of those who care for her.  This loving lap cat will make a wonderful companion for an adult home or one which includes children.  Sunset's foster family calls her the "perfect" adult cat.

Welcome! I am Violet. I am the Mama of the “Flower Kittens”! I love head pets and my ears scratched. I can be shy around other cats. And I don’t think I like dogs. I love lots and lots of attention and being cared for. And I am a talker! As you can see I have very unusual fur. It is lighter silver underneath and gray to black at the tips. Oh and maybe you have noticed I am a “thumb cat” polydactyl – that means I have two dew claws on each paw!

Meet Tucker! He is a friendly boy with loads of personality. He is curious and loving, and would do well in a home with children and another gentle cat or possibly a cat-friendly dog. Tucker is interested in exploring, but will never wander too far away from the lap he wants to curl up on. He will be your companion while you work or rest. Have you been looking for a purrrrfect companion? Then, Tucker is your guy. Tucker is also micro-chipped.

Tucker has just been received into the CARE foster program and will be available in approximately 1 to 2 weeks (March 14th - 21st). Please call CARE to schedule an appointment to see Tucker in his foster home.

Jimmy came to CARE in very sad shape. Something caught him by the back right leg, causing him severe injury. He was in a great deal of pain and needed surgery to repair a 12" laceration. Now, healing and almost as good as new, he is receiving very good care and a lot of love and attention from the staff at San Juan Animal Hospital. Jimmy is anxious to find a safe new home, where humans will protect him from the dangers of the outdoors. Jimmy is gentle and loving, and would do well in a home with other friendly cats and gentle children. Jimmy has survived 1 of his 9 lives already, but he has plenty more to live! Jimmy is micro-chipped.

We don't know if it is related to his laceration, yet we do know Jimmy is not fond of dogs.
