Mariah is a beautiful little girl. She is petite and feminine. She knows simple commands like "sit" and walks well on a leash. She is also very smart and seems willing to learn and eager to please. She would be the perfect family companion. Mariah is accepting of other gentle dogs and cats, and would do well in a home with polite children. If you would like to meet Mariah, please call CARE and schedule an appointment to see her in person.

Spice is a cute little girl. She is quiet, happy and adjusting very well to the dogs and cats members of her foster home. She would be the perfect family companion. Spice has started her crate training in her foster home. Her adoptive family will have the opportunity to continue her training. Like all puppies, Spice will require lots of love, patience, time and training from her new adoptive family.  If you would like to meet Spice, please call CARE and schedule an appointment to see her in person.

HISTORY: Part of CARE's Primary Program to assist SJC dogs taken to the Orange County Animal Shelter.

To know Timmy is to love him.  We think he is about one year or younger.  He loves to run …..and chase ……and chew…… and check his food bowl every hour just to make sure you didn’t put something wonderful in it…he tells you when the mailman comes….…and then he is off to snooze at your feet.  He is very active and engaged in whatever is going on.  Timmy understands the basics of housetraining and does very well on a consistent schedule.  After a rousing run and a day of supervising the household he loves to be held and cuddled.  The most important thing to know about Timmy is how SMART he is.  This is a dog worth taking to obedience and maybe Agility Training.   Timmy does have a light case of separation anxiety but he is not destructive (whining and barking only).  As long as he has another friendly dog as a companion he does just fine being left alone and feels secure. Timmy does very well with other dogs and with cats.  He needs a good fence, loving parents and no small children.

Garfie is looking for a new best friend.  Could you be the one to help him be happy? He has a cute, expressive light golden face with dark coal eyes and nose. Garfie is quite the  handsome boy.  You may find his conversation very endearing……..Woo…Woo….Woo……when you hear it you will recognize it. It isn’t a bark or a whine but almost speech. He is very comfortable in the car but once you turn the engine off he expects to be out and moving. He would do okay with other dogs…..So far the Volunteers have not seen any intra- dog aggression We will try to update more as the Volunteers learn more about his preferences.

Garfie seemed interested in a couple of cats at the Vet's office. One of the cats was not interested in him and told him so. Garfie did not react.

Call (949) 240-1735 to schedule a time to meet Garfie.
